Robots and Monsters - Ayden Gallery

Last Friday, October 23, was the opening of my second exhibition here in Vancouver. The name of this exhibition is "Robots and Monsters" on Ayden Gallery, one of the most amazing Art Galleries here. This exhibition is terrific, because there are many different artists with different styles and ideas and their works are very very good. Work of the week!

Almost two months...

I arrived in Vancouver almost two months ago and "I'm loving" this city. My home/studio is getting better and I'm studying and working a lot. I'm working in projects for my clients in Brazil and I'm starting to make cool profissionals contacts here. Last week I finished a illustration project for clothes to Taiwan, soon I will post the illustrations here on my blog. Sounds good...let's go!

Art and Sole Exhibiton!

Last saturday, October 03, happened the exhibition opening of Art and Sole show at EL KARTEL Store (Vancouver). This project was the first one that I participated here in Vancouver, was very cool. Thanks so much "EL KARTEL family" for this opportunity. The party was amazing, with very nice people and good music. I loved all the shoes presented there and the book about the project is incredible. Congratulations for everybody that participated in this project. The exhibition will continue for more 6 weeks and the people will vote for the 3 best shoes. Below, the pictures.

Last week was great! I finished a nice project for Brazil and now I'm working in a t-shirt collection for Taiwan. The life here in Vancouver is going very well...working hard and studying a lot...I love this city and the people here are very nice and friendly. I'm with many ideas for new projects and experiments for the next month...Soon, I will tell better here about this. Last week, with more time, I could draw a little bit more on my sketchbook...was cool!!! See you!!! (And sorry about my English hehehe...I think is getting better...)

These shoes were a big surprise to me. I had recently arrived in Vancouver and was walking down the street when I met Pablo from the El Kartel store. He liked my work and told me about the project and I agreed to participate.
I had just one day to think about and complete the project. All in all, I think I finished the project in two hours non-stop.
I used some elements that are fairly common in my projects, like the bird symbolizing freedom of thought, and the heart symbolizing the importance of love, anger, protest, and revolt - the utlimate desire to do something significant for society and the new youth.

Este post está um pouco atrasado, mas só agora consegui as fotos do evento.
Bom, semana passada participei de um evento muito bacana organizado pela Consultora em Moda Juliana Laguna, o nome do evento é "Pano pra Manga" e foi na Barbarella Bakery. São encontros mensais para conversar, assistir palestras e bater papo sobre o mercado da moda.
Então, fui convidado para falar semana passada sobre o tema "A arte como estratégia no mercado da moda", contando um pouco da minha experiência e mostrando alguns projetos em que participei.
Também estavam lá o pessoal da marca "Vulgo" e também as garotas da marca "Bag for Life".
Parabéns, o evento estava muito bacana! E muito obrigado pelo convite...

Well, last week i participated in a very cool event organized by the The Fashion Consultant Juliana Laguna, the name of the event is "Pano pra Manga" and was in Barbarella Bakery. Every month one group meeting to talk and show lectures about the fashion market.
So, Last week i was invited to speak about "The art and strategy in the fashion market", including a little of my experience and showing some projects which I attended.
Also, there were the people of the brand "Vulgo" and the girls of the brand "Bag for Life."

A good day...

Hoje o dia rendeu! Consegui me concentrar bastante e desenvolvi três estampas para uma marca de roupas que estou trabalhando, em breve vou poder divulgar melhor aqui no blog. Além disso, consegui arranjar um tempinho para dar continuidade nas pinturas que estou fazendo para minha primeira coleção de obras baseadas em um único conceito: "Preciso de mais tempo". Está ficando bem bacana o projeto, estou gostando, acho que demonstra de certa forma uma evolução no meu processo criativo.
Agora no final do dia fui até a casa uma amiga dar uma olhada na parede da sala do apartamento dela, pois ela está querendo que eu faça umas ilustrações na parede. Ótimo né!!! Vamos lá...

Today was great. I got my focus and developed three t-shirts' stamps for a cool brand of clothes. Soon, I can show better here on the blog. Moreover, I find time to continue my paintings for my first collection based on the same concept "I need more time". It's getting nice, I think it shows an evolution in my creative process.
And the end of the day, I went to a friend's house to look a wall of her apartment, because she is wanting one illustration on the wall. Great! Let's do it...

News News News!

Fala pessoal! Me desculpem por passar tanto tempo sem escrever nada aqui no blog, mas eu estava correndo contra o tempo para entregar o meu trabalho de conclusão do Pós-Graduação. Hoje eu entreguei o trabalho (Ufaaa...). Agora terei mais tempo novamente para me dedicar a projetos bacanas e mostra-los aqui.
Tenho boas notícias da semana passada, terminei o projeto das ilustrações nas paredes da "LEZANFAM" (breve fotos aqui), um espaço novo para crianças muitooo bacana em Porto Alegre. Acredito que a inauguração será na próxima semana. Talvez, eu realize lá um curso de desenho para as crianças no final de Julho. Avisarei aqui quando tiver mais detalhes.
Outro projeto bacana, foi a parceria criada com uma marca de roupas que irá inaugurar em breve em Porto Alegre, este projeto será desenvolver estampas de camisetas. Outra notícia boa da semana passada, foi a parceira também criada com a marca "Bag for Life", onde irei desenvolver uma coleção de bolsas femininas pintadas à mão.
Estou bastante empolgado com estes novos trabalhos e em breve, mais notícias por aqui hehehe...
Agora fuiii dormir porque estou morto de tão cansado...e amanhã o dia será longo...até mais!



Hello!! Sorry for being some days without writing here. Well, better days will come.
Today i finished my Final Project for the Post Graduation (Thanksss God hehehe), and now i will have more time to do nice projects and write here.
I have great news about last week, i finished the wall painting at "LEZANFAM", a new store with a fun space for Children in Porto Alegre (very very cool). Soon, i will post here the pictures. Probably, i'll do a drawing course for children there in July. Soon, more news here about this.
Last week, i did a partnership with two cool fashion brands. One brand, i can't say the name here yet, but is a very nice project for t-shirts. The other brand is "BAG FOR LIFE". For "Bag for Life" i will create exclusives purses painting by hand. I am very excited about these new projects. Soon, more news here.
Now, i'll sleep because i'm very tired and i need to work hard tomorrow...Bye Bye!
